Mini Review of the AEA Terminator 357

Hello all took a few minutes to shoot my new AEA Terminator I bought myself for Christmas this morning temp was 28 degrees bit brisk so here we go. The rifle in IMO is well built and solid with 2 air tanks you can get 20 shots, I used my FX pocket chrony to get the numbers in the picture and due to the 2 tanks equalizing I may not have got it filled to 3600psi on the first fill, down side it has a heavy trigger pull but manageable not sure if the trigger is adjustable at this time as there isn't a manual with it.

Top left pink dot was 25yd sight in orange dot is at 53yds couple of fliers these were shot from the second mag on the fill I think I had a good 3600psi fill this time.

How is it sound wise? I’m curious about the report and gas piston operation.

It's quieter than my Bulldog was I was shooting it my backyard and have neighbors on both sides no problem with them and the piston works great I haven't rapid fired it yet figured I need to put some pellets down range and get it broke in first.

Here's a couple more shot strings, I talked with Zach and he talked to his guy in China and he thinks my tanks aren't getting a full fill an told me what to do to fix the problem, he also said the shot strings are to low should be 950fps so the fill pressure may be contributing to the low velocity.

Hey fellas just got back from visiting family for Christmas, well I figured out why the side gauge was not reading the same as the front it needed to be turned a little and it then started registering the same as the front but it had leaked down while I was gone so I contacted Zach he told me they had to bleed the air off to ship and check for air leaking around the side gauge an sure enough it was I bleed the pressure back off and Teflon taped the threads and seems to have stopped the leak for now.

I decided to try some 95gr .356 boolits I had for my 380 in it and they fit in the magazine just fine no binding I fired 10 shots with 2 failures to recock itself accuracy wasn't to bad at 25yds first shot was 830fps last shot was 777fps 53fps difference over 10 shots but the first 7 were only 2 to 10fps different. I will be doing more testing with these and I just got my NOE .356 84gr mold in yesterday and I'm prepping it right now to start casting then we'll see how they do in the next day or 2.

What length slug/pellet will the magazine hold? Will it fit Predator Polymags? Do you have anything heavier to try, like NSA slugs?


Looks like it’s only making about 135 fpe with those JSB’s. AEA claims 160-200 fpe. Curve falls right off so there is probably an opportunity for tuning.

I sorry haven't tried anything heavier and I don't have any polymags but a fella on GTA has tried some NSA slugs and some others not working real well if I remember right.

With a declining shot string like you have posted. This gun definitely needs to be tuned to the projectile.That is unless you’re happy with excessive air use. I would tune for a single mag with a bell curve inside 2 %.

Over 135 fpe... To me that is the sweet spot for the .35 too...

I never got around to shooting slugs it started leaking air in more places than I wanted to mess with and sent it back for a refund.
