As you may know, the HW95 in .177 @ 12fpe is on rotation lately. I had just come home from a nice walk with the wife, two miles, trying to stay healthy. Anyway, I come home and see an uninvited bushy tailed guest in the backyard. It was, predictably, stealing my pecans. I snuck out, it saw me, but the allure of the pecans was too great. It hung around grabbing more nuts. It took a couple of minutes for the right shot to present itself. As it happens, it was looking away from me at about 28 yards. I had been taking vitals shots with this gun not wanting to take a chance, but....I have gotten a bit cocky, the gun is a laser with the JSB Hades. Besides, it was the best shot possible. I took aim at the back of it's noggin and let one fly!
It did the frying pan dance for like 45 seconds, maybe longer. Finally it settled down and I went to retrieve it, not knowing what to expect. It was quite dead, blood by the base of the skull near the ear. Forehead bulging and soft.....interesting. Must investigate.
The Hades came in quartering away at the base of the skull and traveled through the brain and stopping just shy of exiting the forehead. The brain looked like a liver. The skull was completely shattered. The Hades was mostly intact, sitting by the forehead. Pictures below to tell the story.

Almost a full minute of Frypan dance and still kept the nut!
