Hoping to stop someone from learning the hard way like me. I just want to pass on the information. On the Meopta websites and the distributors sellers that use their specifications sheets the specs list the Dichronic reticles on FFP as having a powered illuminated center dot. Even the represented picture of the scope next to the scope description shows a illumination power wheel. THIS IS NOT TRUE and I confirmed it with Meopta and Camera Land. I think Camera Land is actually going to change the listing specs and picture.
Looking through a Dichro it does work really well during the day, but at night using moon light or a red light it doesn't work any better than a non-illuminated. Meopta's description is misleading. You must buy the scope that has "RD" in the actual item description. Don't way attention to the specs page or pictures.
The perfect scope would have been the Dichro reticle with a powered illuminated red dot in the center, but of course they don't make that, or at least not one I could find.
Anyway I swapped out to a RD version and lost some money on shipping (both ways). Don't make my mistake.
