Did some pest control over the long weekend and managed to go 4/4 with the springy bois. The first two and fourth were handled with my .22 97K, while #3 was using my .22 35E.
#1 with the 97K, 32yds
#2 with the 97K, 30yds. This one literally anchored to the side of tree. Had to poke him off with a stick. I managed to retrieve the pellet too, which was kind of cool. Fun Fact: Domes don't expand much lol
#3 was with my .22 35E pushing an 18.13gr JSB to 540fps. The pellet lobbed its way about 35yds before it caught the tree rat square in the back of the dome. Not suprisingly, no pass through. I have since switched back to the 14.66gr FTTs which are putting out 13fpe rather than 11.8.
#4 was again with my 97K. This one was at 42yds and was the quickest drop of the weekend.
I was hoping to bag #5 with my freshly scoped and sighted in LGU but nobody else showed up to the party. Sure enough the LGU was probably the gun that I was shooting best this weekend. Go figure.
