I used to shoot a lot of RF and CF benchrest. Shooting in the wind is an art. I could put flags out every 10 yards and still not read it accurately. My main tactic, depending on time left on the clock, was to wait it out, hoping to find enough calm, or at least similar conditions. But I learned two things, first, even the best wind shooters get beat, and second, at a certain point I'd rather pack up and have a beer.
