Thanks to the 19 shooters who came out today for a wonderful fall weather match. As usual our winds did not fail to disappoint us with sustained 10-15 mph winds gusting to 27! Mark commented that this was the most difficult conditions he had ever experienced at Meeker. Most of our scores reflected the conditions, especially in the pellet class. After the match we had 5 shooters stay to shoot a 3 card practice match at 100Y. Boy howdy was that crazy in these conditions.
Someone left a SS coffee tumbler behind. If its yours please let me know. I rinsed it out and put it inside our clubhouse.
Please keep Missy in your thoughts and prayers as she and Jeff were absent today. We hope to see them both back in action at our next match on Tuesday 9/16.
Fairfield Sportsman Club is hosting a PAC 100Y practice match this Saturday 9/13. Don't forget that the Pyramid Air Cup returns to the Cardinal Center in Marengo 9/17-20.
Thanks to Paul Haubert and Rick Rizor for keeping us safe today on the range. Thanks to Tim Swan, Joe Ketcham, Bob Juengst and Diana Thomas for helping at the scoring table and Wailing Wall. Thanks to Paul and Bob Reiff for set up today too. It takes many able bodies to make our matches a success and I thank each one of you for your willingness to help!
Congratulations to Joe Ketcham for taking the #1 spot in the Factory Class national rankings and to Vince Vance and Bob Juengst for their 2nd and 3rd place rankings behind Joe. That puts Meeker 1,2 and 3! Way to go guys. Mark Clemons is holding down 4th in the Pro class and some knuckle head is still hanging onto 3rd in the pellet class. Its pretty cool to see so many Meeker shooters not only in the top 5 nationally but also in the top 10 and top 15-20 places too! That says something about the quality of shooters that represents you collectively. I have yet to meet anyone at Meeker who isn't friendly or would not go out of their way to help anyone at any skill level.
Thanks for reading my rambling... until we meet again, shalom.
