Meeker Sportsman Club indoor 50’ BR (N. Central Ohio) (w/ Results & match updates)

We have 3 matches left on the indoor winter season. The last match will be a bit different. All airgun shooters are required to use Crosman Premier Hollow Point pellets so make sure you have some of the Walmart pellets on hand. All of the rimfire guys have to shoot CCI SV, Norma Tac and or cheap bulk ammo. No high dollar match grade pellets and or rimfire are allowed in the final fun match. Plus we are having a pizza party during the last match and will award plaques to the top 3 places in each division.

We had a full house and fun match today. Here are the results and points standings:

Our last match of our indoor season is scheduled for this Sunday 3/26. Registration is at 1:00 and the “surprise” match is at 2:00. Rimfire shooters are required to shoot cheap bulk ammo, CCI Std or Norma Tac. Pellet shooters are required to use ONLY Crosman Premier Hollow Points. Absolutely no match Rimfire or pellet ammo And no sight in period for anyone. The 4 different targets will have 20 “items” to shoot for a possible 100 points per card. These targets will be added into the aggregate scores to determine the winners for the season. Plaques will be awarded to the top 3 places in both classes. Pizza will be included in the $10 entry fee. We only have 3 open spots left so if you want to shoot please contact me.

Today was our final match for our 2022/23 indoor season. We started off with a pizza buffet lunch and then off to the fun shoot. The targets consisted of four different cards with 20 ”targets” to engage within the 10 minute period per card. Here are the cards I surprised everyone with:

^ The smallest targets are about 5/16” diameter and they proved to be the most difficult to clean without breaking the outside circle.

The black dots are 1/2” in diameter and we’re much easier to shoot.

These bugs were fun but certainly not easy to shoot the little guys.

The stars were the last card we shot and it was the easiest to clean. We wanted to finish on a high note so folks would come back next year ;)

Below are the scores from todays match. RF shooters had to shoot cheap bulk ammo and AG shooters had to use CPHPs. Surprise fliers brought a laugh to most shooters ;) and that was the WTH? goal.

Todays scores were so low that it did not affect the final points standings for the series. Only 1 point separated first second and third places in the AG class.
