Measuring speed

tried out the fx pocket chronograph this afternoon, AMAZING. It's small, light weight, didn't know it was in my pocket, simple to use just two rubber bands to hold it on the moderator, rather low tech, no set up time, trouble free, my Cadwell gave me fits setting it up. It's not light sensitive, sun no sun, inside outside no problem. Even a techno dinosaur like me found the app straight foward and easy to understand, all the information I could ever want, it even talks to you. Go ahead sell , give away your old one you'll be pleasantly surprised, life can be simpler.

I'm right there with you regarding the Caldwell cursing. I returned the one I recently brought because it took soooo many shots to get enough reliable readings, even under ideal/overcast conditions. It was completely worthless indoors using the light kit.

The drawback of the FX pocket chronograph and the MagentoSpeed is they cannot measure velocity down range. This means they cannot be used to calculate BC or directly calculate engery at the target.
