I have both. Both are good. Synthetic may be a bit less "weather sensitive" than nice wood but who knows. I really think it's more esthetics than anything.

I love wood, but am so afraid to scratch it, synthetic is the way to go. I don't care about plastic, but hate to screw up a wood stock. I am a wood worker when I get the chance, so the effort to maintain the wood is just too much. Synthetic all the way.

@ JoeKool- I used to be a big wood stock guy, and when I first got into adult air rifles in 1989 I loved the wood stock on my Beeman R10 deluxe and my Beeman Rx1. I polished that stock after each use.
Then one day around 2003 while chasing a squirrel down I bit it, and my RX1 went flying out of my hands into some 3/4 crushed rock. Seriously scratched up the comb. Bummed me out, and it was there and then, synthetic stocks are all that come on my guns from now on.
Plus, synthetic stocks can be designed much easier with all the available coatings and dips. I’m sure wood can be dipped, but why would you hydrodip a nice piece of furniture?
