My 3.5 yr old Max just developed a fast leak at the foster fitting. Air is coming out of the aperture, not around it. What do you think is causing this? Any help appreciated. I figured I'd ask before I tear into this.
If it were me I would just replace the o-ring as you run the chance of getting a foster fitting that is incompatible with your other units if you replace it. I had ten of twelve fosters that would not fit together at one time. Tossed most of them and now I just purchase Ninja brand fosters as they always fit together.
Maybe just an ol piece of dust or debris. I would try and give it a couple of whacks with a rubber mallet or palm of your hand WHILE it's pissing out the air and also when empty then a couple of hard quick blasts of air from a tank when empty first before tearing into it. Giving it a good ol whacking sometimes helps. If still no improvement and you wanna be cheap just flip the seal around if it's not split all the way. Good Luck. Yo!
Contact Crosman since it’s still under warranty. They will usually just send you out a new fitting. They sent me a new one and told me how to fix the old one as a spare
Mad Max is fixed! A few weeks ago Crosman sent me a whole new fitting - no charge. Great service. I also bought an extra one as well. I'll break into the old (bad) one now and try to fix it. Thanks for all of the tips!
