We have Royale 500 with my friend. Initially it was unregulated.
FX sent us regulator and bigger valve, valve seat and transfer port and we converted the gun into regulated one.
I want to know that what maximum power can be achieved from 500?
Right now with regulator setting at 160 bars 34 grains fly at 850 fps.
It appears to be a bit higher reg setting.
I was considering a few options to increase the power at lower reg pressure.
Options;
1. Enlarge the ID of valve seat from 5.5mm to 6mm
2. Add to the hammer weight
3. Enlarge transfer port
4. Replace the valve and valve seat with the Valve and valve seat of FX Boss
I talked to Ernest and he suggested to enlarge the inner dia of valve seat from 5.5mm to 6mm and add some more hammer weight. But I am reluctant to enlarge the ID of the valve seat as it may start leaking.
Please suggest if the valve and valve seat of Boss will fit into the action of 500?
