Shot the MAX .22 this AM.
Fill gauge reads 250 bar but tank gauge reads 300 bar(just filled). Not sure what’s going on with that. Reg set at 210 bar(not sure how accurate that is).

Just looked at it and it doesn’t appear to be the common moderator thread size. The short moderator chamber didn’t want to screw off easily but states in the manual-removable moderator. I’m going to pad it and hope that does it for me.

Mine was the same way. I read and re-read the scanty instructions, and it seems that, after dumping all the air through the bleed valve, the regulator adjustment is already bottomed out, thus I cannot adjust it any lower than 210bar. I was hoping to lower the reg a bit. I emailed Wes, just waiting for a reply on it.

Hey Jay,
After shooting and filling several times, the pressure gauge is working better. The reg might just need to be broken in.

Turns out I was trying to adjust the incorrect fitting. I did not see the correct brass fitting which is located under the trigger guard. Wes corrected me, and all is well.

I got mine in. Adjusted the hammer spring and got max speed of 967 with 30g slugs at the stock reg setting.

Also picked an AEA 1/2" adapter to thread into the end cap for a moderator.

Packaging didn't have a part number but it was labeled as Donny FL Challenger adapter which should be A91.

I went by Alamo AG and tested a few and the Challenger labeled one worked.

A83 is the 1/2-20 adapter for .22/.25/.30

Just to confirm before I buy, this is the moderator adapter we need for our Max 1's DonnyFL Adapter for AEA Challenger / AEA HP MAX A91.

I don't have any airgun shops near me to test. Thanks.

Finally, get my Max 1, and can't go outside and test it because it's raining.... .

Just got mine right now. I got one in .25. Out of the box the reg is set about 200bar.

Without touching anything I got 890-940 with 35gr pellets. Fell off the reg on the final shots.
