Tuning Maverick VP .30 - Can't get air out of the plenum.

Hello People,

So first off I'm new to the PCP world I've been in it for about 2 months. I just received my first Fx gun and the regs weren't set correctly for my .30 caliber so I had to adjust them. Watched several how to videos so I wouldn't F it up. Got my first regulator set at about 170 went to de-air it to set the 2nd reg unscrewed my bottle and fired a couple shots as I saw in the vids to release the air from the plenum and nada the air won't come out, so I tried the slightest nudge on the 2nd reg screw as I saw another guy do this and that didn't release any air either. I emailed fx just waiting to hear back from them so I thought I would come here to where the knowledge is. Any ideas on how to get this air out of the plenum would be hugely appreciated.

I had one that did not want to release. I SLOWLY unscrewed the rear pressure gauge. I stopped when it started to hiss.

Try dry firing it a few more times. It might take five or more shots.

Dry fire with bottle remove is one way. Another way is remove bottle then turn reg up. If all else fails then unscrew reg guage till air release. If none of this works then there just isn't any air in there. ???

Yes i have to dryfire 4-5 times to vent my Maverick.
