Maverick at 100yd first try

Good shooting! 100y is where I decide if w rifle is shooting good! I expect sub MOA out of all of my nice air rifles

I made some barrel clamps for the TRS rail that fit the BC carbon barrel shroud aome weeks back. Did a limited run of them because I didn't think there would be a big market for em.

What percent of your shots can be outside of .5 inches from point of aim for you to consider it an MOA gun?

You
These fit the bullet central tension shroud system?
Yes sir. I had just installed the TRS rail before I got my bullet Central tensioner. I didn't like that I had to use a spacer to make the barrel clamp work.. so I modeled a new barrel clamp and printed some.

A MOA is 1.047" at 100y. So if they are all under a inch at a hundred.. your sub moa. Half moa would be exceptional. And you don't really base it off you "poi". Pick a point... And let 5-10 shots off all whole aiming at the exact same spot. Then measure how big the group is.

Let me know if you would want to sell a couple clamps.

Do you run yours tensioned? I ended up cutting the part off that tensioned it against the block because my accuracy immediately whent to hell running it tensioned.

Some people shoot one group that’s MOA and say their gun shoots MOA even though the next 5 groups might be 1.5 to 2 inches. Just trying to get a clearer idea of what your guns were doing on a consistent basis to see what the possibilities are.

If my gun fires one group that isn’t MOA, then it’s not a MOA a gun. Yes, I keep this standard from my real gun life. I have a bunch of center fires that haven’t shot over an inch in 20 years. That’s a MOA gun. Needless to say, I have no MOA airguns. Pellet or slug. But I do have some exceptional shooters. Just not MOA every day all the time guns. I believe almost nobody does no matter what they claim.

That’s basically my take. Although, if it shoots MOA 9/10 groups or something like that I think calling it an MOA gun would be pretty fair. You’re going to occasionally pull shots, pull the trigger a bit early than you mean, wind, bad pellet etc. Basically all the other factors that can affect accuracy besides the guns inherent ability.

Airguns can be pretty darn accurate. But they need to be graded on a curve. Because we don’t have a specific language for them, we use real gun language. It’s not fair and it’s almost blatant lying. When I see guys posting that their gun is MOA at 50, yes some of us might think that’s not all that spectacular, but I believe them. I’ve shot hundreds of one large hole groups at 50 with plenty of guns. But if I look at the big picture and average it out, 1 inch at 50 is where most guns wind up. Would you bet your car or truck you could shoot 30 consecutive 50 yard MOA groups or would you bet your car or truck your gun will do 30 at 100? I would take that bet at 50. Never at 100. So I know I don’t have MOA guns at 100.

Definitely not confident enough to bet my truck on making 30 consecutive MOA groups at 50yd but I’d for sure bet like $20 bucks on it.
