So I recently got a Maverick in 25 cal. I tried the fx hybrids and the NSA 26.9 grain slugs. Both shot really good. I won’t be shooting hybrids any time soon as they are really expensive. I was looking at shooting the 29.5 grain and was looking for a good starting point. So I current setting are 145 on second reg. Unsure of 1st. Hammer is factory. And I swapped to the duel transfer port. Is 145 to much on the second reg or can I decrease it to shave on shots.

I have 2 Mavericks 1 22 and 1 177. In my experience the best way to tune the gun is to turn hammer screw out ccw until it won’t cock then turn back in 1/4 to 1/2 turn Make sure it will cock and that the safty works. Drop #2 reg to what it was set to stock and while shooting over crony adjust pressure up 2.5 bar at a time till velocity drops. This is the highest velocity you can get without changing parts. Tune to where you like from there and remember sometimes very small adjustments make a big difference in accuracy and group. On my 22 after getting tuned i added dual port and gained 8or 10 fps

Solo 1 I know the current tune on my gun is no good I’m getting 30 -40 fps spread with the fx chrony. I know the Maverick can do better.

Ok good deal appreciate it. I’ll set my gun up and let you know what happens. After I get the 2nd reg to pressure and fine tune from there I use the 1-7 on power wheel or the adjust screw and turn it clockwise.

Well you start with the wheel but you might want to make tiny adjustments to hammer and pressure it all depends on where you want to go and the accuracy. My 22 i have spring maxed pw 7 112 bar and am pushing 27.5 nsa slugs to 928 fps for 53 fpe with excellent accuracy. This is why you want to find the max first then you don’t want to go over that without adding parts

This is a good place to start. Solo1 is on the right tract. There are some adjustment parameters you need to be looking at.

Don't touch the gun yet, Just get new slugs first and try them, and then fine-tune it, 145BAR seems fine but you may find working better at a lower pressure. My maverick compact .22 with 120BAR on second reg, all factory parts, and 11g hammer, on max, was sending JSB 25.4gr at 800fps

Don't know if this will help anyone but with my 30 cal came from the factory at 140 shooting 81 fpe. I turned the reg down to 125 and turned the hammer down 2 full turns and am at 85 fpe. 600mm. 11 gram weight
