Crosman Marksman 0035

Last year before I got interested in airguns I was asked if I could repair a marksman 0035 44-1c. I had never worked on one or any airguns/guns before but I'm always down to take something apart that already doesn't work and see if I can figure out the problem. Well I was able to get it working and fell in love with it. Awesome little plinker but I had to return it to its owner and that's where I caught the airbug. Flash forward to Saturday and my friend shows up with the gun. Did it break again I asked? Nope I don't really ever use it here said so I was wondering if you would like to have it. So I hesitated just enough so that he wouldn't hear the schoolgirl giddiness come out in my voice and said, sure that would be cool. How much? I ask. How about a beer? Seems like a fair price. Sold for 1 bottle bud. Woooohoooo

So the 1st thing I did I hooked up my chrono. I didn't have a chrono back when I fixed it (replaced the seal, cleaned and lubed) so I don't have #'s to compare to. So I got 575fps with 7gr pellets. Not horrible but I think this gun could handle an increase in power. So I've been looking for some solutions to give it some oomph. New spring? Don't really have the money for a new spring. Could I stretch the OEM spring? Sure but don't want to ruin something that is currently working. Maybe a few properly placed shims? Leave it be? I don't know. So if anyone out there is experienced with this gun and are interested in helping a guy out I would surely be grateful for some of your knowledge and guidance. Thank you

Mike
