They're fun to shoot. And they shoot very well. I have repaired and made parts, or scrounged and found parts for many of them. Collected them about 35 years. Probably have more than I should. I can't see the sights as well as I used to but I can still wack tin cans and let other people shoot them.
I have a nice vintage Weaver J4 (blued steel) scope that I think about mounting on one sometime. Epoxy a dovetail to the cylinder should work.
Picture 1) Made a cocking lever screw. 2) A leather seal being fitted. 3) Trigger screw. 4) Trying the thread in the trigger block
All threads are single pointed on the lathe. No taps or dies exist for these proprietary threads.
Even if a gun is in rough condition I am willing to return it to shooting condition. They're still fun to shoot. And I don't have to worry about how those particular guns are handled.

That looks like very nice smaller lathe KWK. It becomes a different hobby when you start restoring old springers like that. Very satisfying.
It’s interesting I ofter take a look on the airgunbbs and the “collectors” section will ofter have as many viewers as general air gunning.
Perhaps we need a collectors section here on airgun national?
“Vintage Airgun Gallery” is a great place to look.
Here’s a classic from the 60’s Walther LGV.

The American Vintage Airguns site is completely devoted to the classics:

The Gateway to Airguns site has a good dedicated Vintage Gate:

The British BBS site has an excellent "collectable" (sic) section:

Danny Garvin's Vintage Airguns Gallery is superb - an encyclopedic resource for photos, literature, and more:

And yes...there's a few of us hanging around here, that can answer questions directly...! 😜

Is there a forum or site that is the mecca for the wood & metal vintage springer crowd? Interested in some & have some to trade or sell. seems like modern PCP's have won the Airgun interest & market
Depends on what you consider vintage. A quick search describes- "Vintage is a term that refers to items that are 20–99 years old".

these would qualify but it depends on what you're looking for and the term "vintage"
