Marginal gains and barrel/projectile choice

It has been interesting watch this thread develop and the input for the ST Ploy barrels. Thank you all for your time and input and most importantly your willingness to share success stories. Just for what it's worth, I have been shooting the slow twist ploy barrel with 13.4's for over 1 1/2 years now. Last year was in a marauder I built and the success was very good. Roy at Mtn. Air cut the barrel for me and it really liked the FX 13.4 pellets Out of 18 matches in 2024 I took 1100 some odd shots with 1000 some odd hits during those matches for a 92% hit rate.Wound up with 10 1'st, 5 2'nd, 2 3'rds and a 5'th place finishes and I give an awful lot of this credit to the ST Poly barrel. I was so impressed with it I had Martin build a TM1000 for me with the ST Poly ( not stainless )which I started shooting in Jan '25 and am more than pleased. It likes the JSB 13.4 better than the FX's. Any missed shot is more than likley my mistake and not the barrel. I'm not a airgun smith or anything like that but there seems to be a trend that the slower twist barrels just might perform better than the faster twist for the sub 20 ft lb speeds especially in the wind.
