March 3-24x52 ordered, anyone else here have this scope?

@DeutschKSK - yeah that's a nice reticle! I was actually going to opt for the MIl-C before I decided to go all in to try out the Horus Tremor3 on my 7-35, totally worth it though! The wind dot system works amazingly well (mind you, it's windy like 310 days a year at my shooting spots).

I took the scope out for some quick tests in the Cascades, so far so good. I'm kind of pissed that my Kelby 20MOA dovetail to pic rails didn't ship .. I shot the rest of my 24gr VKs with 0MOA using those UTG adapters :\

Here's the video - https://vimeo.com/341152711

Scope looks like a winner to me! Could you do a video like that with your 7-35? I’d appreciate it.

Im going to get Burris xtr rings when I get a 34mm setup they have +\- MOA inserts.

Matt

Sure, I'll probably have it on my R5 with me next weekend. I have some other videos uploaded to that Vimeo account with footage of my ATACR, somewhat apples to oranges in comparison.

I'm intrigued by the XTR rings. I'm kind of stuck trying to figure out a better mounting setup on this Crown (without using FX rings). I got the Kelby rails, but they lied - they're not 11mm - rather 3/8"! I took off the UTG 20MOA rail from my Leshiy, and mounted it with the UTG dovetail > pic adapters I got, then set my March on it. This puts my scope up way too high for my taste, and blocks the mag port (I don't mind hand loading though).

Wanting to keep my March rings, but it might not be viable.

I also have those Burris XTR rings I just bought for my SWFA. I'm intrigued about them and honestly like how they self center on the pic rail rather than can sit off to one side slightly. Plus with the MOA inserts can gain I think 40MOA or more. I don't think I'll need them as the gun it's going on once I get it will have 25MOA built into it anyways

I have a set of the extra high XTRs with inserts coming tomorrow. Opted for the aluminum ones, they also make them in steel - but I'm not shooting a .50BMG or .338 with them lol. That said, I couldn't find any definitive details on the weight of the rings - they just look heavy though!

July apparently, I have one reserved, but Im probably going to forego the NX8 for this March.

BTW.. I've read many of the gripes that people have with these March scopes (albeit, many of which were from a long while ago and primarily with the 42mm versions). While it does take getting a feel for, there is a hidden bonus that I have discovered that offsets that negative characteristic somewhat - the focus and parallax adjustment on my scope goes down to 3 yards!!! Absolutely incredible, crystal clear with zero parallax shift.

I want to get my hands on the 42mm now to compare with the 52mm. I almost went that route, but decided the extra ~2oz was worth the larger objective for low light conditions, which is kind of a big deal in the mountains here. My only concern is going to be durability. With a scope this light, one cannot help the natural instinct to be extra careful beyond the already overprotective modus operandi. My Nightforce scopes just have that feeling of being battle ready, but I have not read anything about March scopes becoming optically inoperable, so I guess only time will tell!
