Marauder slug

The choke is usually so tight in the Marauders that it’s not possible to get many slugs through it before it’s fouled and you’ve got to spend a good amount of time cleaning the barrel. If I remember correctly you want to try .250 slugs through it. You are likely to find a slug that will group decently for a few shots and then your groups fall apart. It’s because the choke is all fouled up with lead. If you are determined to shoot slugs you’ll want to invest in a new barrel with a twist rate that’s made for the slug you are trying to stabilize.
A good inexpensive way to shoot heavy lead with a marauder is by using the Eun Jin 43gr pellets. When they are sorted and washed and lubed with some synthetic 2cycle oil you might find that they are just what you are looking for…. And they don’t foul up your barrel.
I think they have changed the name of them to Seneca pellets. It’s been a long time since I bought the Eun Jin’s.
You definitely have to go through and sort out all the obviously dented and defective pellets though.
