Marauder sights recommendation requested...

Hey everyone, newbie here and first post.

Just purchased a Benjamin Marauder (likely Crosman barrel at the price I purchased) and of course no sights on the weapon. I'm looking to clean out a horse barn facility of pigeons and need a decent sight to add to this fine weapon. Yeah, I know it's overkill for the purpose, but you know, I''m a guy who likes fine tools....

Any ideas are welcome including someones stash of used equipment needing a home for a decent price ;)

Of course I don't need anything beyond 50 yards as the worst case shot is on top of the barn.

Thanks in advance.

Check out Blackhounds scopes - the 4-14x44 would likely be a good choice. It's the one I just put on my 'barner'. It's relatively cheap, good glass, available in moa or mil, lit reticle. Hell they ship them in nice boxes complete with 30mm pic mount scope rings, levels, and some other toys. Surprisingly decent little scope.

I saw this compact Optisan CP 10×32P, mounted on a Marauder Semi-auto and it looks promising for the job. Optisan makes it in a CP 3-12×32 variable power, which would be better suited for you in and out of the barn at close and further ranges.

Thanks everyone for the input. I ended up getting a Discovery VT-R 3-12X42SFIR off of Ebay. It fits the need for now and seems to be decent glass from the reviews out there. It included 11mm rings for $92 plus shipping and fits the low budget need considering what I need this for. Hopefully the rings are of sufficient height to clear the mag. We shall see. My use at this point is just clearing out pigeons, but who knows down the road. I might do some longer range removal of some bullfrogs around here that keep me up at night. What a mess they will be when I hit them wtih a .22, but likely easier than gigging.... ;)
