Marauder question about changing barrels

I have a gen 2 22 cal marauder that has the lousy barrel. I want to change it over to the 177 cal bolt and barrel. Any one know for sure it is an easy exchange to simply install the 177 cal barrel and bolt. It was that way on the Gen one..
I see now they also have a different breech part number. looking like if I do the swap I may need the breech as well? Crosman will give me no info, only offered to sell me the parts. AJ ?? Anyone? Thanks. Brian Smith

You don't have to change the breech block, just the bolt/probe, barrel and barrel seal o-ring. But, you will have a .177 cal. that says .22 on the side if you don't change the breech block.

FWIW, I tried the opposite of what you are doing, trying to upgrade my .177 to get a little more reach on windy days. Went thru two .22 barrels and gave up, could not get a 30 yard group consistently under 2" (the .177 would group 5/8 to 3/4" at that range for me). Switched back to the .177 barrel, then saved my money for a new FX Wildcat, and am quite happy with it.
