Marauder or Talon

Last June I started to look at PCP guns. I ended up buying a .22 Marauder in October and immediately loved it. Great trigger, good shooter, 50 - 60 shots per fill - 2900 psi down to 1600 / 1700. I was so psyched I decided to get a Talon SS too and ordered one at the end of November which started 2 1/2 months of frustration. I had a problem with the safety - wouldn't release 50% of the time and you have to release it on every shot. Had a dialog with Air Force and sent it back to them on Jan.15th. I received it back on Feb. 18th - almost 5 weeks for about 1 hour of work. The good news is the gun fired flawlessly. Trigger great, accuracy great. I had been ready to not like it because it doesn't fit like a normal rifle and I felt like I was trying to lay my head across the tank to get a good sight picture. My neck isn't as flexible as it used to be (71 tomorrow) I went ahead and ordered a Mad Dog stock for it, installed it last week and have fired it twice since. Its Great! I'm glad I waited to comment on the Talon - in January I wasn't feeling very positive.
I like the Marauder's 10 round mags, both have good triggers, Talon is easier to manipulate and even with the stock much lighter. I'm not a great shot but these rifles make me feel like I am. I'll post some target pictures next week.

Target from today. Received a pellet shipment from Pyramid yesterday - 2 JSB's and 2 Air Arms and shot them this morning. Picture below. It looks like my rifles are better with the heavier pellets. The bottom 2 rows are the JSB's - the designation is in the shade. Distance - 25 yards. I had only one bad flyer - top left under Marauder. I don't know who to blame that on. All groups are 5 shots except one that is marked as 4. I always shoot one warm up shot as it seems like the first shot is always off target.

16 years and still trigger trouble on the af rigs, shucks.
AF does seem good for the DIY/POWER people and all airguns have a place. I like all airguns but want then to shoot on a competitive level and have never seen any af product at any match except for sale.
Just me but so far the marauder ( and sure one could find some drawback on the marauder if they try) had the finest trigger for the money, there is NO lower cost trigger that can be made match grade by a novice, that and the cheek weld thing - I shoot single shot - seels me on the marauder over the af rigs.

But please everyone feel free to bring an af rig by, I'll darn sure fire it a bit!
