Ok. Gen2 LW .177 Mrod with Huma reg setup for FT.

Was at the range yesterday and checking everything. All was great. Small groups at 25/50y.

I ran some different pellets just testing some to see. After a few hundred rounds figured id pull a dry patch and get any excess out.
Like ive done a ton of times i unscrew the shroud, run a dry patch with a patchworm thru it twice.
Scrww the shroud back on and the 2 pellets i was shooting amazing with turned into shotgun groups. Wtf?!
There is no spring in my shroud and the baffles seem fixed.
So then i tried 2 wet patches and 2 dry and same thing.
Today i take the barrel
Off, replace the oring and inspect.
All lools fine. Ran it over the chrony and its spot on.
Wtf?!

Groups go from 1/4” at 25y to now over an inch!!

Ideas?

They are stuck in there. Ive pounded on em before and yesterday and no movement

I could be missing some mod or trick, but that spring keeps preload on the baffles.

That doesn't seem right. They should push out very easily.

Perhaps a Lead fouled barrel .... Brass brush the bore and try again

Its been that way since i got it.
My thought too was baffles but i pounded on em them and no movement. No rattle or anytging.

So you removed the complete shroud and removed the end cap at the muzzle end and inserted something through the receiver end and no movement,

Correct. Been that way for years now.
Even tried pounding on them with a wood dowel, nothing.

Also on very firmly. Was thinking of replacing the oring but i dont seem to have an 113 orings.

Well, that's a whole other issue. I can't believe everything is aligned after that. Clipping would be an issue.

Been an amazingly accurate rifle as is lol. Until yesterday!!

Baffles jammed up with lead dust? There just plastic, so pounding can cause them to be deformed. No spring is still a mystery to me...

If I was you, I would get those suckers out and order new ones along with a spring.

Shot it without shroud, its not the baffles as i had the same result.

Im aware but prefer to just unscrew it.

Just scrubbed it but was already very clean.
Pushed a pellet thru and very smooth all the way until
It hits the choke and then pops out. ll looks very even on impressions under magnification.
