Thanks everyone. davecole, that's just the info I was looking for.
I do plan on leaving it very close to "as is". I'm guessing the best way to clean the barrel would be to remove the barrel band, unscrew the end cap, unscrew the shroud, and use a pull through like the "crown saver", to keep from getting hung up in any baffles. If anyone has a better way, let me know.
The mag seems to sit just a little above the rail, are medium height rings OK, or are the high ones best? I'll be using a Hawke 4-12X40 Airmax.
I'll certainly try the JSB 10.34's. They seem to have a cylindrical, non traditional look. I saw a video review using JSB 8.44's and the velocity was around 920. I also have a chrony and will do some testing soon after I get it.
Since I'm only going to use it for target practice out to maybe 70 yards or so, what would be the best way to lower the 8.44's velocity to under 920? I also shoot it indoors and 920fps seems more than I need. Would ONE counterclockwise turn of the spring do it, and would that "unsync" anything?
