This afternoon I went to my spot in the woods again for an evening squirrel hunt. Not nearly as windy as the last time thank goodness. Another beautiful day with plenty of sun and temps in the 50's again. Kind of strange afternoon the way the hunt went. I did a bit of walking around the pasture along the wood line first. I have shot a lot of squirrels and the occasional rabbit this way before. Once I walked in the woods and settled down in my spot for a bit, I started hearing them within 30 minutes. I sat there for about two hours listening to them crash through the leaves searching for acorns on the ground. I would catch a glimpse of one every so often but wouldn't get a clear shot. Along about the time the sun was down to where the visibility was getting poor, I spotted one on the side of a tree about 40 or so yards out. I popped him and then two more in the same area, roughly same distance all within 5 to 10 minutes. Clean, quick kills with the Marauder.
