Marauder .25 Gen2 Tss ? Huma reg?

Marauder .25 cal Gen 2

So im curious on these 2 devices. I know the Tss is the updated and improved hdd device but it seems more complicated to install. I also seen the huma regulator and was wondering if i would just be better off to install it instead off the tss with maybe a depinger divice as well. Just curious on your thoughts

It's actually quite simple to install the TSS. Travis has a video to help you. The HUMA regulator is not all that hard but there are more steps to take. Again there are videos that show you how. I would watch both 3-4 times and write the steps down before you dissemble your rifle. You may even want to video tape yourself taking it apart so you if you get lost you will know the sequence of how it came apart. I did both mods to my rifle.

Good idea on video taping myself ! And i know they are both used for different purposes but does anyone have feedback on the huma regulator? I have looked at it and the 2 videos i could find but im just curious as to the shot count it can produce at around 30-35fpe. If i can get 30+ shots i would love it but if not ill stick to a tss and a depinger and keep my hammer spring where it is.

If you get the ART TSS go ahead and get their super hammer too. I put both in my Gen 2 .22 and it makes a huge difference in the sound output of the rifle. It is a lot quieter now. I'm not talking about muzzle report just the sounds produced when pulling the trigger and the hammer hitting the valve pin. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

I also would like to chime in supporting the TSS and Super Hammer from Travis of ART. After deburring & polishing the aft section of the air tube including all associated stamped openings, the installed TSS and Super Hammer transform the rifle into a world-class action. I have also installed the HUMA regulator to allow for a higher fill pressure resulting in a substantial increase in shot count not to mention the reliable delivery of the exact same volume of air from shot to shot until the air reservoir pressure drop below the HUMA pressure regulators setting. I did perform some barrel work on the stock .22 barrel, I lapped and recrowned it just to eliminate the factory rough edges.
I would recommend that you debur the pressure gauge block opening as well if you install the HUMA regulator as this opening is typically an o-ring destroyer when the gauge block or HUMA reg is installed.

I have taken my .22 MROD GEN2 to the highest level of reliable accuracy and I the only parts changed are what has been described above. I made 2 videos that highlight the accuracy of my .22 MROD GEN2.

There is nothing more that I need to do to my MROD and I am 100% satisfied with its performance at this point.

I just watched your videos last night !! Awesome accuracy, and i would love to do those 3 things and i think i will . I am worried about the deburring process though and to be honest im worried about installing all of it this is my only gun lol but I plan on doing all 3. Thanks for the feedback !

What's your shot count right now? I was able to tune a .25 Mrod with stock parts to 25 shots @ 37fpe with an extreme spread of 3%, 18 shots @ 1.6% ES, and 13 shots at 1%. Huma Regulators work well and are easy to install in a Marauder, but gains in shot count may be minimal if you are already operating the gun at max rated pressure. I suspect that I could get 30+ shots at 30fpe quite easily with or without a regulator. The question is what is an acceptable extreme spread for your shot string? Do you have a chronograph? If so post a shot string from 3000psi down to 2000psi. We can make suggestions from there. I wouldn't buy any of these items without access to a chrony. If you put a reg in there will be no need for a depinger. The Gen 2 has a depinger in it already. I'd take it out if I were going to reg it.

I am going to chrono it again tomorrow. If i fill to 3000 and shoot down to around 2500 i get (pic attached below) . I am trying to fill only to around 2800 now and shoot simply to minimize the ES. Its not bad but i havent shot more than 16 over thr chrono with this set up yet so im unsure of my fps past shot 16. I will try tomorrow but i bet i could get 24 shots total with very little ES.
