Many of you will not like this !... My previous findings confirm it is a fact !!!

I get you really like the Sidewinders and that's cool. I haven't shot one, but I know the Huben and have a lot of experience with the L2. L2 is a different valve design and very different trigger than the Huben. I am on board with really liking the hammerless designs.

The issue I'd like to take is with your comparison. What projectile and speed were you shooting with each gun? It doesn't seem like a fair comparison at 190 with a 34gr .25 vs a .25gr .22. What were the speeds.

What would be more convincing for me was if you did a side by side with a .22 and a .25 Sidewinder. That would help show if it was the gun or the caliber benefiting the longer distance.
@Emu This is a good point. And do you care to post photos of your targets?

The Western design with a removable mag is intriguing. Full auto seems to be novel at the moment. I’ve considered trying a Western gun for some time now. I’m still on the fence about which route I’d go if I decided to get one. Also been contemplating other brands. I do pay attention to your posts as well as others. Don’t take my banter and slight haranguing too seriously, but let’s see some data to go along with your touting. The hammerless system is different and I like it in my Huben, but I believe that issues can arise that can negate advantages of a hammerless system. After a year or two, I’d be interested if your impression remains the same. It’s easy (for me) to get excited over new toys. Your enthusiasm is understandable in that sense. However, backing up your claims is what interests me.

1 question show me a comp that a sidewinder has won and if you can do that see if you can find 10
Sidewinder has very few days in the market....

I am not an EBR shooter.

I am just a hunter.

But I have shoot all my life. I shoot A LOT and daily and have a lot of rifles to compare.

I do not win absolutely nothing sharing my experience with the sidewinder or any other of my rifles, but trying g to enrich your self as I enrich from your posts.

Right the thing here is , your Daystate if I recall from another thread is shooting .22 25.39 , that is substantially different from .25 33.95, imo the 33.95 in .25 is a far superior pellet. Therefore this is an unfair comparison really , thats all.
I have shot at that distance with the following Daystates:Wolverine HP HP .25, Dayatate HR .25, Air Ranger .25, Renegade HP. 30, Renegade HP .25, Wolverine HP HR .22...... Same conclusion.

And also with Vulcan 2 .30, Vulcan 2 .25, Vulcan 3 .30, Uragan .22...... Same conclusion.

Sidewinder is not the first hammerless design, huben accomplished this many, many years ago, so I wonder why this is only being discussed now? (superior accuracy in hammerless pcp's). I would also like to see these sidewinders prove it in competition before such claims are exalted.

Those of us that have been here for a while or lurked long before joining know this isn't the first time this has been discussed. @Emu is ecstatic about his rifle as it seems to be his last purchase and seems to finally be what he was looking for which is great.

It seems as though some are just very doubtful of others here on the nation but maybe not with others but with their own items/skills and forthputting when it comes to it.

Some years ago I watched in YouTube the video of Matt Dubber talking about the system of the Hubens.

I waited the sidewinder to be in the market to buy my first rifle with this system.

I may not talk about the Hubens (apparently it has a better trigger) nor about the LCS.

This is my last purchase, and I like it a lot:

IMHO, does it really matter HOW the air gets to the back of the projectile, as long as the SD and ES are low...?

Great point.

I think OP is onto something, for HIS shooting style....

If his hold can't counter the momentum from a 10-20 gram hammer and spring prior to the pellet being released, is it his form is lacking, or is it the fault of the hammers recoil?

So I guess to summarize, are hammerless pcp's just a bandaid for poor form? I have no doubt hammerless designs CAN be more accurate, but doesn't mean that they 100% are, everytime, in everyone's hands.

There is a saying, put your money where your mouth is. Making extreme claims online will attract disbelief when you are not thorough in presenting your data, period.

Matt, please look at this two groups at 80 yards.

The upper one is with the Sidewinder .22 of the picture I just shared. The lower group is with the sidewinder .25:

Nope absolutely not, 💯

I don't think Emu intention are to be super brash, clearly his native tongue isn't English and he tries hard to communicate the best with us while remaining ecstatic.
This should be very repeatable at any indoor range, and any big youtuber or even company rep from one of these companies could replicate this if it were true, fwiw...

Ahhh, the YouTubers, well now I know what kind of "proof" you require... note the quotations :)

And now you go on ignore lol

I don't doubt that you shoot better with the Sidewinder than your other pcp's, what I do doubt is that this experiment could be replicated in an indoor range, 10/10 times with two large company rep pitted against each other (daystate vs lcs).
