Man, it was a lovely day to shoot and redo the backyard shooting range.

Got tired of the sun being in my eyes at lunch time on the back porch so, I moved a bunch of stuff around today.I moved my picnic table to the shady end of the carport. Also since only one person can shoot at a time on the picnic table I turned it the long way so I could lay my chrony up there on the end of the table when I shoot. I have another wooden bench right beside it for a second person. Just use a beach umbrella if the sun doesn't cooperate.Got targets all the way out to 55 yds for practice and checking hold overs. I have a 5 yard wooden sled with targets on it every yard for close work.
You should be able to see it in the pics. It's at the 15 to 20 yd mark in the pic. I just roll it in to the 10 yd line for the closer shots. I use the 1/4 kz paper for all the close targets. I'm close enough to call it zero by 23 or 24 yd mark, and then flat out to 37 or so. That sled just makes things run so much quicker when setting up my scopes.I have 5 Paul Porch gong targets out there, 3 Steel plinker reset targets, two Steel plinker quadrant targets, and a couple of Paul Porch spinner targets. Also 5 metal pellet traps to put paper targets on. Paul made me a nice larger metal trap to fit one of those big BR targets on. When I sit my fat arse down to shoot, I don't want to get up unless I absolutely have too! LOLI don't mind getting up to move the sled, because I can shoot 6 different yardages before I have to move it again. Could really just move it once if I wanted. Have it at 10-15 then 16 to 21. Doubt 22 and 23 yds would pose much of a problem if I skipped themAgggh, gotta wash that green algae off that white chair

"Imold"Nice little range you have there CampFussell, wish I could do that at my home. Good Job.
Thanks Brother, Yeah, you need somewhere to stretch the legs on that sweet lookin' RAW.

I could cut another 100 yds or so through the woods, but too much like work ;-) Timber company owns a mile or more back in there ;-)

Thanks Michael.
It's been hard to fight the addiction but next month will make a whole year since I've bought an airgun! I'm retired now and can concentrate on shooting them more than collecting them! LOL
As for my range, took me almost 4 years but finally learning to read the wind a little. That 13.4 gr Monster helps with the confidence ;-)
Hope you are enjoying your new home in Texas. Gotta be a big change over Hawaii ;-)

Thanks Doc, that's why I have two rows of yardage markers. My porch rest and my picnic table rest are about 6.5 yards apart. So I have a row of markers lined up down range between the wooden bench and the picnic table that I use when shooting from the porch. Also that target on the rusty barrel is my 28 yd zero from the porch.
I need to get my .177 Cricket Carbine out and try some 13.4 gr Monsters and see if it can hang anywhere near the Thomas? Then I've got a .22 Cricket Carbine that I've barely shot since getting the action back from Charlie Frear with new seals and new valve.

Thanks Wolf
Location, location. I don't care if I live in a shack as long as I got woods around me ;-) LOL
Figured out what springer you're going to get yet? If I ever get the fever for another springer, I think I'll look ol' Joe Wayne Rhea up for one of his refurbished FWB 300's. He can do some fine work with those rifles.

Peace and pellet grease

Shack in the Woods Conservatory life time member here. FWB300 is my next springer buy as well. I can only hope Joe is still selling them when I can buy one.
