Wanted a wedge for under stock of my FWB 603 for when shooting off a rest. A bipod stand for when I set rifle aside would be nice as well. Off the shelf its either/or only. Wedge blocks use of bipod stand. Ugh.
Okay, guess will make up my own . . .
From a gnarly, twisted chunk of birch firewood I fashioned the wedge, Twisted grain yielded a nice flame pattern. And it was free!
Incorporated bipod legs fashioned from scrap of steel rod, cold blued, lacquered and capped with vinyl thread protectors for feet.
Legs reposiitionable, secured to wedge with single magnet in either deployed or stored position.
