Make your own printed scope tapes

I wanted an easy way to mark my turrets without using stickers that have a tendency to overlap and look sloppy when I put them on. Found this easy to follow video made by someone that knows much more about this than I do and thought I would share it with others that may be interested. He does a great job explaining everything.

It is much easier to use https://turretlabels.com/builder/elevation

enter values based on StrelokPro, check if markings are valid on various distances and your good to go.

I use Illustrator to make mine. Print them on plain paper, and cover with a heavy clear tape. Attach to the turret with clear tape on each end so they can be removed easily. Mostly I only mark them at 5 yard intervals out to 100 yards, that way I can make the numbers larger and it's less crowded. I extrapolate the in-between distances in the field and it works fine. The image is of my Bantam with an Aztec.

Thanks for the tip, great app!

You guys remember the famous Crocodile Dundee quote about knives?...

Well here's the equivalent in airgunning... 😄

"You call that a turret, That's no turret...."

-"THIS IS A TURRET!"

Not to make a sales pitch but I tried this so many times with so many turrets, projectiles, guns, scopes....there are just way to many factors to think that math can compensate for all of the changing variables and still be dead nuts accurate all the time. If you need dead nuts, you need to shoot the gun and mark the yardage, there's simply never going to be anything more accurate than reality.

anyone who messages me and mentions this thread will get a double order...I'm already 76% cheaper than Utah Airguns and (from what I'm told) better quality.

I change ammo and tunes way too much to go through the trouble of creating turret tape, plus at different elevation and temp the tape will be off so I just use values straight out of strelok.
it’s for those who set their rifles for the task. Playing around and constant tuning doesn’t work with turret labels… I like my airguns to be set for accuracy and efficiency, one pellet type, velocity and caliber. Turret label work for me.

I use Chairgun for PC, the Scope Tape function in Toolbox. I also use the custom turrets from ScopeWerks. Makes it bigger and easier to see. This is the scope turret from my .25 Impact Slugger shooting 38.9 NSA at 970 FPS. I can dial out to 330 yards.

Hi Centercut,

On using Chairgun, what is the meaning of two range number on the same click value? I have been so confused of this ever since.
