My plumber friend swears by Magic lube with PTFE on his O rings. Does anyone know if Teflon lube is safe for PCP's ?

There's a magic lube II that is silicone based. That's the only one I would use. The basic one says Teflon based, which is crap because as far as I know, there's no such thing as Teflon oil. I'm guessing it's mineral oil based, similar to Vaseline with Teflon added. Silicone is cheap, guns aren't, so I would stick with a silicone based lube personally. That is what every manufacturer says to use.

Yep, that silicone is added to a carrier, what is that carrier material?? We already know that silicone is ok for O rings and seals. Teflon is ok but what is carrying the teflon?

teflon isnt doing anything for an oring, its an anti-gall agent for metal to metal .. silicone is probably the best friend an oring has and will keep them from deteriorating and dry rotting ..

I've used everything from motor oil, wheel bearing grease, lithium grease, and plumbers silicone. It doesn't matter. Truthfully they don't "need" anything.
