Western Airguns Magazine/slugs/pellets oh my

I have a sidewinder compact in .30 cal. So far I've found out the Predator polymags are too long had to nip the tips off to use them. And the FX hybrid slugs fit in the magazine little too snug or is it just right? Are these normal things people gotta watch out for any semi auto, or is it just the way it rolls for these sidewinder mags?

With any magazine you need to pay attention to fitment, but especially semi auto. There is zero forgiveness, its going to try and load the next round whether it fits properly or not. If you are questioning yourself, you better test the magazine first and make sure it indexes like its supposed to. While holding a magazine in your hand, take a small allen wrench and manually push the rounds out one at a time onto your work bench or back into a tin ( just like the pellet probe would push rounds into the breech).Making sure nothing is getting hung up , and the cog wheel in the mag can rotate freely.

Gonna have to sand them down or maybe a burr tool to shrink them up a little. The slugs are just a tad over not free enough. Gonna have to put the mic. On then see if they are over or what. What's the tolerance on slugs +/- .003? Which is a lot

Way too much hassle. Either sell them, use them in another gun, or shelf them until you buy a size die.

Easier to just order other various slugs until you find what works the most optimally.

I'd call AOA and ask what slugs they suggest using.
