Mag issues

I think I have an broken mag for my huntsman. My groups are much larger then when using the single shot tray. Out of ten shots there is normally 4 or 5 flyers that are at least one incher off the main hole at 25 yards. At 60 yards it’s much worse. Has anyone had issues like this with other guns/ mags?

Good job isolating the problem. I've had some other brands with faulty magazines but not my Daystate (all 4 are good). I'd recommend reaching out to the retailer for a replacement.

IMHO the spring has lost its strength or has taken a set and needs to be replaced or lead shavings and dust and debris has entered your magazine causing binds which in turn causes the pellets to be sheared when closing the bolt or side lever because the chambers in the mag hasn't indexed all the way between shots and is difficult to tell by just the feel when closing the bolt home. I would suggest if there is no warranty then disassemble and clean it first and lightly lube with a non gumming type of dry lube and if that doesn't solve the problem then replace the spring as well and don't leave the magazines loaded for too long or a good habit is to store them empty and load them only when you are ready to shoot and empty them when you are done shooting until next time.

Often times a really simple fix by just loostening the magazine bolt/s or screw/s just a tiny bit can resolve this issue to make the magazine rotate smoother and more freely and would try this first before anything else.

The other problem I had personally witnessed is that some brands of magazines simply can't handle the weight of heavy pellets and don't rotate properly because of it.

Another problem is using pellets which may be too long or too perfect fit in the magazines and in turn make the cylinders too tight and along with the added weight to rotate properly.

You will know if this is the specific problem if you shoot shorter light weight pellets and have no issues using the magazines.
