M4 Slug / ~133 yds

Didn't know the drop on FX Impact M4 at ~133 (30 gr Javelin) Drove a stake in ground and took two shots at the top of stake.. Rifle is fairly new and not much trigger time due to shoulder surgery.. I put an ear plug in one hole and then went back to shooting location.. The ear plug is 18.5" / 3 sub tensions at 9 power on Sightron STAC.

Took a ground squirrel last week at 135 yards with my slug shooter (Edgun R3 long shooting Daystate Howlers,.217, 20.2gr). Got it on video but too lazy to edit & post. Maybe later. I WASN'T interested in slugs til I started shooting the Edgun, then I REALLY wanted it. The range & repeatability of accuracy with the right combo of slug & gun can be pretty amazing & SATISFYING!

Went back to box stand and increased magnification from 9x to 20x.. "Ear Plug" / impact went from 3 subtensions to 6.5 subtensions..
Been shooting for year and never tried this.. Interesting observations..

Yours as well! Holdover or scope clicking? The Edgun came to me set up for clicking (Thank You Centercut! ) AND with a Sightron S-TAC. I'm really loving that scope! Simple reticle, very nice glass & CRISP clicking. I ranged that squirrel at 135 yds, turned the turret to 135 & pulled the trigger. Easy peasy with the Eddy.
