M3 valve adjuster

The Valve Adjuster on an a fairly new Impact M3 700mm I was able to shoot this week that had a 500mm 22 cal barrel installed at the time, would only move 1/4 of a turn from the point that the 4 line is fully visible because it bumps into the end of the shroud and just over 1 full turn from the point where the 4 line is just covered. I can't see any way to get full travel with this barrel kit installed.

The FX branded Donny FL moderator also hits the CF bottle when it is installed on this barrel kit.

The 500 mm barrel is for the Compact which comes from the factory with a 300cc bottle. Much shorter than the 580 that comes on the Sniper (700mm).

Correct, which accounts for the FX Moderator touching it. Just posted that so others who wanted to do the same thing would be aware of it. It shoots fine with the moderator resting on the bottle but would eventually mark the finish on both. Not a big deal, use a smaller moderator. But the blocking of the valve travel shouldn't be happening. It looks to be the same valve assembly on both models. If the gun was out of warranty, it would be simple to remove material on the valve knob to get full travel, but probably not a good idea to start grinding on a new gun. It looks pretty feisty with the moderator at the same length as the bottle. I like that look better than with a shorter bottle.

I wonder if the shroud is different on the Compact barrel? I cannot think of any reason it would be though.
I left the 480 bottle on my wife’s Maverick when we converted it from 600mm barrel to a 500mm. I put an Air Impulse moderator on it and it cleared with some room to spare.
