FX M3 shroud and barrel help

While unscrewing the shroud from the barrel liner, the liner jam nut ended up in the shroud. Does anyone know of a good way of removing that barrel nut off the fire end of the shroud ? I tried heating the end of the shroud, using a spanner in the two holes and applying heat, but that end of the shroud doesn’t seem to want to move. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That happened to me once too.
I ended up using a wooden dowel that I carved-down to a taper. Put a couple of wraps of electrician's tape around it and chucked into my drill.
It actually worked pretty well. I'm sure that someone else here has a better way, just hang loose.
