M3 leaking from first reg

I changed my bottle gauge on my M3. Problem is now if I take the bottle off air leaks through the first reg, even when the bottle is all the way off. Kind of like when you dry fire a few shots to empty the gun. But without having to dry fire.
Any ideas? First reg gauge is holding steady with the bottle on.
Could I have screwed the new gauge on too tight? I just hand tightened.

Make sure your bottle is 100% full. With gun fully depleted of air(and hopefully you remembered your second regulators set point), take a 2.5mm allen and start closing off your 2nd reg behind the trigger by turning the reg adjustment screw CW until it comes to a SOFT STOP. Then turn CCW (1.5) whole turns. And just to rule this out, put your gun on safe and cock the handle back.

Reinstall bottle. Your 2nd reg should show around 60-70 bar on the rear gage. Uncock the gun first before resetting your second reg. Turn reg adjustment screw CCW till you get to 3 BAR before your chosen reg setting. Now dry fire 2-3 shots and watch the gage to make sure that needle is stopping exactly at that 3 bar less setting.

If all is good, turn adjustment screw CCW to reach your chosen setting.

Tip- sometimes it helps with adjusting the second reg by removing the lower half of your trigger guard(2.5mm allen)
