I quit using mine since I bought a 50 dollar ebay chronogra-h.

My fx chrony is not reliable, and yes fresh batteries each use did not help. Works great when it connects, but that is a 40/60 occurrence.

The cheap Chinese one works every time, the fx is a 200 dollar pos.

If I were you I would call the FX customer service you might just have a bad chronograph I haven't had issues like you say you do with mine. yeah the batteries can cause some issues but I used mine off and on for months with no problems then around month 3 or 4 I had to switch the batteries, I also don't keep it on or on my gun the whole time when shooting, just check speeds then I'm good to go.

Yep! Once again R.C., you hit the nail square on the head! How ya doing Guy?

I made a bracket that slips over the ldc and holds the very dependable Chinese chrony. it may be blasphemy, but it is superior to my Caldwell, Chrony Pro, and the FX. GRRRRRR!!!

Thanks for the motivation! I'm pleased with the results. Got everything from Amazon for $38 and there is enough for 2 FX radar mounts and a full extra set of rings!

Comes on/off with a thumb screw.

I've never gotten small ES or low SD with the FX radar on any of my rifles. I will now fiddle around to see if location will provide more accurate readings.
