LW Barrel vs FX Smooth Twist X and regular.

I have a FX Crown .25 but was concerned about the Smooth Twist barrel X and regular favoring mostly JSB pellets, My Brocock Sniper .22 has a LW barrel and it is able to shoot a wide variety of pellets accurately, my Crown only shoots JSB pellets accurately. My Sniper likes Cheap Crosman Premier 14.3 gr pellets, Some JSB Exacts, H&N Barracuda, H&N FTT. and Right now I am shooting the 14.3 gr Premiers at 955 fps and am getting 90 shots from a 240 bar fill. Without touching anything on the gun if I switch to the 21.1 gr Barracuda's the Sniper shoots them at 845 fps, that is over 33 foot pounds ! I do not have this kind of flexibility with my Crown, its JSB's or nothing unless I try different X barrel liner. Not trying to start an argument, just want to know your own personal experience and thoughts.

Trying different types of pellets in our gun is an enjoyable part of this hobby and I enjoy doing that as much as anyone, however being satisfied with one or two superbly preforming pellets just isn't an issue with me, in fact just one good preforming pellets is ok with me, that being said, in 2004 I purchased a Theoben Rapid 12 .020 knowing that Crosman Premier 14.3's would be the go to pellet, and they were, (past tense) I would shoot about a box a year in those days I would get four boxes at a time $15.00 a box at the time, well they quit making them, I would have stockpiled some if I had known. I have three FX's with the origional ST barrels now, a .22 and two .25,s. I am completely satisfied with them using only JSB's, the .22 likes the 18.1's and both .25's love the 25.39 and MK2's. Now learning from my mistakes of the past I am slowly stock-piling these as I know I will be keeping these guns, I shoot much more these days, about a tin a month in each cal. for me the availability of the "one" that works is the only issue. If i was buying a new FX I would get an X barrel but I will not be replacing any of my ST's, nothing against LW's but the ST's have won me over by their performance. If JSB ever goes out of business there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!!!

Fx rifles are built for jsb pellets. You may have a hard time trying to find anything else that ST barrels may like. I would start with H&N pellets and go from there.
