Had a good time yesterday with my son. Shooting my Crown and his Baby on Sniper. Shot at 40-60-70 and 90 yards, not enough clear for a 100. Idea was for me to get used to the new NightForce on my gun and to checkout some lubes. With five different lube brands. At 40 a cake walk with both guns. At 60 the wind started to come into play and at 70 and 90 it moved us around quite a bit. The conclusion with his shorter barrel and hunting pellet thing started down hill accuracy wise and mine held at 90. The lube seems to help accuracy in longer ranges and you could watch a barrel season to a lube and pellet as POI shifted in first 5 shots then grouped well. We used two silicone and one graphite and the pre factory lived Hades can't remember the 5th. One interesting thing with the Crown a Hades was at 90 shot OK but not exciting so I bumped the hammer spring up and bingo, nickel sized group. Pellets were H&N Terminator and Hades this the 18.13 Linda as control. Should have set the chronograph up but did not. I feel that the lubes need to season a bit, should be a bit faster and seem to help accuracy. Just may keep the accuracy longer.
