Putting this in here because it is more of a big bore issue than a small pellet issue... Lubing bullets to help prevent lead fouling?
I've been doing powder coat and that works exceptionally well, but I want to explore other options as I have one round that may be hard to PC.
I bought some of this stuff https://lsstuff.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11 and tried it on 20 of my cast 50 cal rounds. After sitting out for a couple days to let the solvent evaporate, they are dry to the touch, you can feel a wax layer on the surface. Not sure how it shoots, if it is going to gum up my barrel, melt in the heat and get messy, nothing yet. Has anyone used this stuff as a tumble lube?
I don't mind powder coat, but it can be a bit of a process, the tumble lube can be done quickly with a ziplock bag and just leave it to finish on a tray and no sizing afterwards if your ammo was correct before.
