Low magnification scope options

I've decided to get into air rifles and I have a Stoeger x20s being delivered this week. This will be my first air rifle in probably about 20 years when I had a pump bb gun growing up. I'm a big firearm enthusiast though so shooting is nothing new to me. But I do have some questions about scopes since I've read that air rifles can wreck havoc on scopes not designed to take their unique recoil. On my firearms I'm a big fan of 1-6 variable scopes since I can shoot them both eyes open (I for some reason have never been able to close just my left eye and I shoot right handed). So I'd like to stick with something similar for my air rifle. I'm leaning towards a 1-4 since I don't intend to use it for past 50 yards. Maybe occasionally 100 yards but I'll mainly be shooting 25-35 yards in my front yard. But I've noticed that there don't seem to be many 1-4 or 1-6 air rifle specific scopes, none actually that I can find. And the firearm scopes if they can even handle air rifle recoil usually have 100 yard parallax. Basically I'm looking for scope recommendations. The best I've been able to find that might suit my needs is a 2-7 with a 10 yard parallax. I think it was a Hawke, I'd have to find it again to be sure. Is there anything out there I'm not finding in a 1-4 or 1-6 range?

You have to think about what you will be shooting with your air gun when choosing a scope. Shooting very small targets that are more typical with airguns than powder burners need more magnification than say hunting deer size critters. If hunting small game or pest control then max useful range of a spring gun is 50-60 yards usually less. If target shooting is your thing then the more mag the better.

It's the forward recoil (forcoil?) that damages scopes as most are not designed to cope with that.
Anyway check out UTG scopes. They have several models that may suit your needs. Fixed 4 power, 1-6 power red dots and more. Good luck!

I'll mostly just be using it for target practice when shooting firearms isn't practical. I can legally shoot on my property but I do have neighbors so I prefer not to do it as a courtesy. Which is why I went with the Stoeger so that it's not as loud. My targets will be standard paper targets and beer cans so I'm not looking for high magnification plus I can't really use it anyways with both eyes open.

This one looks good but on the bottom of the page it says to go with a 30mm tube for a spring powered airgun. So is this one a no go for the x20s?

You don't necessarily need a 30mm tube for a springer as far as I know.(after reading carefully you do need 30mm for HAWKE scopes) I have a few 1'' tube scopes on my springers and have had no issues with them in years of use. The leapers 3-9 x32 Is a great little scope in my experience. It's light and the glass is decent. Whatever scope you choose, either an adjustable objective or 30 yard parallax setting will work best,(and better yet if it will focus closer than 10 yards). The scope 30cal recommended is set at 100 yard parallax.

Jeeper - Don't be too much taken in by 'marketing speak' and offers of 'all bells & whistles'.

A fabulous scope which meets your needs is now available only as Pre Owned or S/Hand (not from me BTW - I'm keeping my 2!) :

The Simmons WTC 1.5 (you'd want the Philippine model) - it's near perfect for close focus & low light conditions without being overly heavy, large or complex. They usually appear (on shooting forums) at around the $80-90 mark...I think, as I'm in Europe (here approx £75.00).

As an aside I shoot with both eyes open - it's considered an accomplishment by most shooters!
