Ordered the “Gamo Tesla” seals and the E3650 spring. The seals were a bit chewed up.

I’m curious to see performance after this.

Hoping to bring me back upto what the accu was at. It looks like someone did some poor machining on the piston but oh well. I also got the GRT trigger installed and ready to rock.

Thank you. I’m excited to see what it will do once the new seals and spring are in. The velocity was quite stable given the spring. I’m wondering if my accuracy will be positively effected since it was pretty pellet fussy with most but the FTTs. Jsb exacts were all over. Today I found a pyramid air CFX refurb for 140 so I’m hoping this thing will shoot. That’s a heck of a deal.

New spring e3650. New seals. Proper lube. Same velocity. 780 was my highest of ten or so shots with one at 707 and most around 770fps. Is this what I should expect??

on a plus side the GRT trigger is amazing!

The rifle is rated for 1100fps they use alloy pellets to get the fps. I wouldn't expect over 800. The mid 700's seem about right. The main thing is the accuracy. It will probably settle down in the mid 700's and be a fine shooter

Ya I’ve seen some of what you have... you’re obviously holding onto them lol. I can only dream... I am confused why Gamo would do that. They had the accu which I thought was perfect. And 12FPE or more. Then they make a newer one call it a CFR and take 150fps away and make the already perfect rotating breech pivot which imo opens it up enough to have complications with the breech oring. This sucker hopefully will be accurate. Not to mention it’s no where near as smooth but maybe it’ll calm down. I’ll consider removing my piston sleeve too if my accuracy isn’t on point. Hoping for a squirrel gun.

So. We just got back from the mountains (basically down the road) hunting morales and got some target shooting done. The trigger is absolutely great and the gold looks great too. I adjusted the GRT so it’s nice and light. The cocking cycle is tremendously better then it was when I bought it. I suspect that continued TLC will only improve it.

Had to find out which pellets the gun liked all over again. JSB exacts used to be all over. Now under half an inch at 20 paces (a pace for me is about 2.5ft) for 10+ shot groups. They opened up at 40 though. CP box 7.9s we’re on point. About half inch for well over 10 shots at 20 paces with all but a lowly few fliers clustering into the same hole as they say. At 40 yards the CPs were still only a tad over half an inch. I still need to test some other pellets but I think I will start tuning the gun for CP 7.9. My plan is to ad spacers in front of the top hat and compare to when the rear is spaced. But plans do change... still shooting low velocity. Gun passes the tissue test but given breech placement the air could be dispersed elsewhere. I was averaging 750fps with CPs which is right where septicdeath suggested it would settle at-shout out. Every single post on the internet suggests 100fps minimum faster velocity. I WILL figure this out or get it shooting solid 45yd groups.

Nice. I was tempted by the xs25 and the underlever model but I went with my experience. I’ve owned a lot of air rifles (no PCPs..yet) and have been disappointed more then not. I knew my accu would basically outshoot many high end guns, you simply can’t beat some shot groups regardless of what you spend. I think my CFR is there already in accuracy, as I see what others post for their 30yd groups. I’m beating them with their 700+ dollar scope/gun combo with a 160 dollar gun, and some new internals. Ya I know what I can expect when you buy a 700 dollar quality made springer, don’t take knowledge, it’s intellectually lazy imo. There are exceptions. If you simply recommend a 700 dollar springer every time a newcomer makes a post, it gets old. Having said that I do love the accuracy of almost anything German. My next purchase with be a Diana 54 air king so I can check out the action.
