Nothing wrong with wanting to add some flair. With that said, can anyone point me in the right direction on how to vinyl wrap a round cylinder? I want to wrap one of my barrel shrouds. Any links would be helpful.
Should be plenty of videos in YouTube...just go on a hunt !
A tube should be pretty easy.
Make the vinyl longer than the suppressor (so it overhangs) and a couple of inches longer than the material needed to finish the diameter. Yes, there WILL be scrap. Clean the suppressor well (no skin oils), lay it on the vinyl, and roll it as tightly as you can. Once you get to a full 360 degrees, keep going a bit more, 1/4" or so longer cut any remainder off. Depending on your pattern, sometimes a straight cuts works best, sometimes a wavy or curved cut line works best.
Now, you can do one of two things.
1. Leave the overwrap as is, and be done with it. Put the over wrapped area on the underside.
2. Using a fresh razor blade, make a cut into the overwrap, full length. Lift and remove the upper layer of the over wrap. Lift the fresh cut material
carefully and peal up the original beginning of the wrap, toss it. Now lay the freshly pealed up end, back down so you now have a nice clean "butt" intersection...done.
Hit the whole thing with a little hair dryer heat to set it.
After the suppressor is complete, with your fresh razor blade, trim the ends clean.
Done.

P.s. - To those that don't like it...doesn't matter. One, it's not your gun, and two, the wrap peals right off, to the original surface if you get tired of it.
