Lot of small squirrels now , watching them in the trees ,and i mean little young grays . Have not seen many adults all summer , guess they were busy

and fall squirrel season.. unlike the older squirrel they dont know the here he comes drill yet... Like the as soon as i touch the door knob scram or see the brim of my hat poking around the corner panic ..

They learn fast.
The squirrels that frequent my back yard hear me coming down the steps inside the house. They know that not long after that sound, the hounds will be on them.

grays here are small even when adults now it would take a dozen to make anything , just skinning them it would not be worth it .

I got lazy with it the last couple years and just take the back legs on squirrels and rabbits. Not worth all the hassle, and smell of rabbit guts yuck, for that little bit of meat.
