Some shooters are extolling the virtues of the polygonal LW barrels. Has anyone used them on a FX 400?

Hi Tony,
LW poly barrels are very good, I have made a few for HW100's and LG110's.
I use one in .25cal on my FX Boss, and it's a frikkin laser. Fingernail sized groups on 50m all day long with king heavies.
I recently bought a .22 R400 laminate, and I'll see how it does with the original barrel first. When it doesn't meet my expectations, it is gonna get a LW poly barrel as well.
I know from experience that ST barrels can benefit quite a bit from a polishing job, and I also sleeved my R400 .177 ST barrel with a 14/18mm carbon fiber tube, which raised the barrel stiffness substantially.
If my .22 ST barrel performs the same way as my .177 does, I'm not gonna change it for a LW.

I ordered a LW poly barrel for my Steyr LG-110 since it requires minimal machining. I am anxoius to have it installed on my Steyr and compare it,s performance to the standard barrel.
I gather that your experience with the LW poly barrel showed an improvement over the FX Smooth Twist barrel. It does require more machining to fit the FX action.
