HW/Weihrauch Lost….But not forgotten

Well over a year ago I ordered a HW30 .22 Stainless, as well a HW77 .20 and a HW98 .25. The 30 came in just before Christmas 24. Right when there was first talks of tariffs. I wanted those out ASAP.
At the same time I made a trade for 6 rifles for my collection of autographs, (hockey players) I saved up while in business for over 40 years now. Great timing.
AoA told me at the time the 30 came in, the 98 was no longer available. But a new 95 walnut stainless, not even listed yet is available . I made the first sale on this 95. And I bought a HW97kt Walnut .20. Spending 1/2 of my trade. The 30 will have company coming home.
The 3 left on January 3rd to Airgun Archery Fun in Saskatchewan, then to me. I can’t wait.
3 weeks go by. Nothing, call AoA they track to LA customs. OK. Few more weeks go by. Nothing, still in LA. Another week goes by and it leaves for the border. Right on. Then like Houdini it disappears. 5 1/2 months later I still cry myself to sleep every night.
‘Then I get an e-mail from Wes at Airgun Archery Fun that he just paid the duties on the guns. Shut up. For 2 more weeks I wait and today they made it home. Unbelievable

Man is my head swimming. 6 months to the day. 5 1/2 months to the border. Had it in 2 weeks. Wes is the best.
Next time I’m going to ask for pony express. Crow
Hopefully have scopes and shoot them tonight.

Congratulations mister 🥳
That 95 is spectacular!
I've been eyeing one in Walnut myself!

Thanks. The 95 is special. Nice gun. Crow
Do you have a favorite yet? They all look fantastic!
Thanks. They all shoot excellent. I’m liking the .20 cal. Don’t know what it is. Crow

Thanks John. Can’t believe how lucky I got them.
Wife was no help. She said everyone is using them and they will be broken.
Yesterday Purolator came and I’m hoping she’s laughing. I bring in a box the size of a dehumidifier. She says there’s one of your guns in pieces. Get your duck tape and glue out. She’s lucky she can cook.
The stainless is sweet. The nicest IMO is one Mycapt has with a grey laminate stock. Crow
Incredible story Crow, glad that you got your rifles finally!
Thanks. Ya pulled out my hair. Have no finger nails. Better late than never. Crow

Yay! A story that finally ended well. Congrats. I am not a big fan of the new HW stocks but that 95's sure is a pretty piece of wood. The color and grain are really nice. That 97 is nice too but I like the luster on the 95 better. I'd apply some London Oil to that 97 stock.
Thanks Chris. I’ll get some oil on her. Crow
Congratulations! Gorgeous triplets. And now with a story to tell.
Happy Birthday America!
Thanks. Not a story I want to repeat. Was like a kidnapping. Crow

Thanks. They all shoot awesome. It’s OK if you know they’re coming. I thought they were gone. I bought another 30 .22 cal which I don’t need now and a HW85 .177 to replace the 95. Don’t mind that one. All is good. Crow
Man! Do I love that 20 KT. Beautiful!
Thanks. I’m with you on that. Definitely a keeper. Crow
