Lost a best friend yesterday

Thanks Willie. It sure makes a difference when I visit their grave site. I enjoy looking at their little faces. Maybe you will think about getting one for little Smokey later down the road?
I'll surely do it for my little Jade and Pumpkin if I out live them ;-)
We've had Jade the chihuahua for close to 5 yrs now, and we got my mom's dog Pumpkin last year when mom passed. So attached to the little buggars ;-)

I made a headstone/ grave cover for Smokey using concrete and colored stones. And made a cedar name plate. But I would love to get a laser engraving like the one you have.

We buried him in one of my carhart coats that he always curled up in.....
( usually after getting a good coat of snow all over him) when I was in the truck.
Actually he liked pulling little stunts like that. If I have him a bath he would get on my side of the bed and roll around, if momma gave him a bath he would do the same to her side.

This picture is almost 15 years ago and I still have tears coming down my eyes as I post this. Little did I know this was our last hunt. My pointer, Daisy would die of cancer a month later, and the setter, Shelby, would die of liver disease 4 months later. It is a bitter/sweet memory. Great dogs!
