Looking to get a new hunting gun

Hi all,

I am currently looking at purchasing a new hunting gun in .25. I do a lot of stalking in woods, so a maneuverable bullpup might be best. i have been intrigued by the new Edgun R5M and Cricket. Wondering if any of you out there have any other suggestions or a reason to go one over the other between those two.

Before you suggest an FX Impact, I currently own one and it is a great gun! I am just looking for a compact hunting tool!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Cricket at around 34" is as long as the longest Edgun. I believe Ed offers a short and a standard also. The weight factor Edguns are lighter and also have a real safety. The moderator comes apart on the Edgun. The magazine capacity is greater on the Cricket. Edgun 5M offers a forward cocking. I believe Edgun has a 20 MOA picatinney rail. Both have great online video support. Both have a great gun guru- small concerned dealer in their corner. LW barrels in both, don't hear of problems or replacement of Cricket regulator. A walk and stalk the size and power of the Edgun is appealing. Some of the recent prices on the used Crickets for a brush hunting gun were fantastic. I love my Cricket, but would not mind an Edgun 5M

How about the Vulcan Uragan?

Edgun Lelya in .25, small as a Leshiy but has a mag. Want lighter go with Leshiy, get tired of carrying it just clip it to yourself with built in carabiner. I have the Leshiy in .22 and it's a tack driver. Takes game out to 100 yards with a good rest.

I have both the Leshiy and Lelya. Great compact airguns that are perfect for small game. Leshiy is only a single load but can be folded up and stuffed into a backpack easy. You can also change the caliber in the leshiy very fast and easy. The Lelya is multi-shot and has more power and shot count. If you stand the Lelshiy and the Lelya side by side the Lelya is a bit shorter. I think that currently when it comes to bullpups Edguns are on top right now when it comes down to it as far as design.

Don't have edgun but cricket is 8 lbs no scope. I consider it a sit and aim gun. Wildcat is a great gun. Believe it or not, i boughr an Artemis P15. Been working on it some. Shooting squirrels and flying invaders @ 50 yds consistantly. Not a group targeting gun but i belive it's a stalker. 5+ lbs scoped. THIS IS NOT A GUN FOR EVERYONE!

How about a Lishey, single shot but light and accurate. Did I mention small and maneuverable?

Aloha Hooper,

I have all of the guns mentioned above, edgun r5m long, kalibrgun cricket standard, & taipan veteran standard all in .25, each gun has its advantages to me.

Edgun r5m with its forward cocking makes it easier for follow up shots. With Brian from edgun west extra baffle/adapter I have a donnyfl ronin and it's very quiet. I had to find tune the trigger and adjust the power, it's very accurate.

Taipan veteran trigger is the best of all three straight out of the box. Fine tune the power and its accuracy is very good. I also have a donnyfl shogun yo keep it backyard friendly.

Kalibrgun cricket from Charlie over at Georgia airguns with his power tune, donnyfl sumo is the most powerful out of the three, accuracy is spot on and very quiet.

You won't be disappointed going with anyone of these guns

Aloha,

Keone
